Import and transcode Panasonic SD80 AVCHD MTS to iMovie on Mac

Cameras and camcorders have became more and more popular in recent years. Canon, Sony and Panasonic has produced many excellent camcorders, you may have got one, such as Panasonic SD80, now you want to edit SD80 AVCHD MTS videos in iMovie on Mac, but iMovie can’t import AVCHD MTS files. There is a solution, of course, to help you transfer AVCHD MTS footage to iMovie. The next few steps will show you how to do with Panasonic AVCHD MTS shootings before importing the Panasonic MTS footage to iMovie.

Before processing, you’re suggested to transfer AVCHD MTS clips from Panasonic SD80 camcorder to Mac computer.

Guide: Transcode/Convert Panasonic AVCHD MTS to Apple ProRes Intermediate Codec for iMovie editing

Step 1. Launch the Pavtube Mac AVCHD MTS to iMovie Converter. Click “Add” and browse to a Panasonic. AVCHD MTS clip and the software will add it to file list. Repeat the operation to load multiple AVCHD MTS videos.


Step 2. Click on “Format” and choose “iMovie > Apple Intermediate Codec (*.mov)”.


Step 3. Click “Convert” to start converting Panasonic SD80 AVCHD MTS to Apple Intermediate Codec videos for iMovie.

After conversion click “Open” to find .mov videos and import converted .mov files to iMovie for editing. Now, you may have known how to put Panasonic SD80 AVCHD MTS in iMovie for editing, just use SD80 AVCHD MTS to AIC converter, you will not have iMovie import and editing problems any more, just have a try.
